Bobby Lashley signs for Shark Fights
Shark Fights have become the latest promotion to hire the services of Bobby Lashley (6-1 MMA).
Lashley, a former WWE star, looked less than stellar in his last bout for Titan Fighting Championships as he took a lackluster decision against light heavyweight John Ott.
Shark Fights announced the signing recently and the preliminary indications are that he will make his debut in November.
Lashley was lined up for a showdown with UFC veteran Eddie Sanchez, at Titan Fighting Championships 19, but this was scratched due to personal reasons.
Shark Fights has risen in profile over 2011 and the organization currently broadcasts via HDNet and FUEL TV and will be hoping that Lashley’s dual fanbase will translate into crossover revenue.
The former NAIA national wrestling champion has only one blemish on his professional record, a loss to Chad “Gravedigger” Griggs, which happened at Strikeforce: Houston in August 2010.
