Bad news for Nick Diaz fans. Apparently Nick Diaz was recently offered a fight, and hie and his managers response was that Diaz is not interested in another fight, and is retired. Looks like we won't see him back in the #UFC anytime soon

Watch Free Georges St. Pierre vs. Nick Diaz - UFC 158 Video #UFC158 GSP Nick Diaz
UFC 158 Results: Georges St-Pierre defeats Nick Diaz via unanimous decision to retain welterweight title .In typical Diaz fashion, he began the third round by taunting St-Pierre, trying to sucker him into charging. St-Pierre landed a couple of shots and went for a takedown, which Diaz avoided, but he then managed a successful takedown. Diaz regained his feet and avoided another takedown, then managed to land a big body shot as the two men traded blows. Both fighters went for showy crescent kicks that missed, then St-Pierre landed a big combination. Diaz was able to stifle yet another takedown, then landed some significant shots before being taken down again. Diaz took a swing from his back after the horn sounded and he was warned by the referee. It was the closest round of the fight, but Diaz headed into the fourth round knowing he either needed to finish or needed two dominant rounds to take a decision.
In the opening minute of Round 4, Diaz stopped three-straight takedown attempts and landed a good combination, but St-Pierre answered back. St-Pierre finally managed a takedown with under 2:00 left in the round, then slammed Diaz once more for a seventh takedown when Diaz regained his feet. Diaz tried for a leg lock in the final seconds but it was to no avail.

Nick Diaz, who tested positive for marijuana ?
Diaz, 28, who tested positive for marijuana, is a second-time offender in Nevada and, thus, faces a one-year suspension.UFC president Dana White on Tuesday night of this week believed he had put the rematch together that a multitude of fans had been clamoring for following UFC 143’s main event between Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz. He also tested positive for marijuana following a Feb. 24, 2007, victory over Takanori Gomi at a PRIDE Fighting Championship event held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Six weeks after the first positive test the commission fined Diaz $3,000 (20 percent of his $15,000 purse), suspended him for six months and changed his win over Gomi to a no-decision. The commission’s report in 2007 noted Diaz’s concentration of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, was 175, three-and-a-half times the concentration level of 50 required under Nevada regulations to produce a positive test result.
“All results received thus far have been negative, except Mr. Diaz tested positive for marijuana metabolites,” Kizer said in a release Thursday.
It didn’t take long for White to respond.
“I am beyond disappointed that he tested positive for marijuana,” said White in a prepared statement. “It is now in the hands of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.”
It was a simple, almost bland statement from White, who is know for his fiery personality, but you could almost see the disappointment dripping from it. “A complaint for disciplinary action against Mr. Diaz has been filed.”

Diaz would fight St. Pierre for the belt, likely in February on Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas?
– Nick Diaz was an angry, bitter and confused man in the waning hours of Saturday night, moments after he battered B.J. Penn and possibly sent the legendary Hawaiian into an early and unexpected retirement at UFC 137.

A month after seeming on the verge of leaving the UFC, Nick Diaz is suddenly the company's hottest property.

Diaz captivated a crowd of 10,313 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center and a worldwide pay-per-view audience with a brilliant performance in defeating Penn. Diaz busted him up like he had never been before, winning a unanimous decision and establishing himself as a serious threat to the long title reign of UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.

It was so overwhelming, and St. Pierre was so angry at the insults Diaz hurled toward him, that UFC officials switched plans and gave Diaz the fight he thought he had in the first place.
In a dramatic move, after walking off the dais of a post-fight news conference that began without Diaz, UFC president Dana White returned and announced that Diaz would fight St. Pierre for the belt, likely in February on Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas.
It figured to be one of the greatest moments of Diaz’s life, but the rail-thin welterweight from Stockton, Calif., who competes in triathlons in his spare time, was anything but happy when he finally arrived at the news conference.
Diaz proceeded to captivate an awestruck audience of media, fighters and UFC officials squeezed into a tiny room in the bowels of the massive hotel with a stream-of-consciousness rant in which he expressed disappointment with his performance, complained that he can’t find proper sparring, lamented that his sparring partners aren’t paid and moaned that he’s forced to act like a bad guy in order to get the fights he wants.
It was stunning, it was breathtaking and it’s why Diaz may now be challenging St. Pierre as the sport’s biggest star.

No matter whether you admire his superior conditioning and high-volume attack or loathe his rebelliousness and disdain for the rules, you can’t not have an opinion about Diaz.
For years, while Diaz was fighting in PRIDE, Elite XC and Strikeforce, White said he’d like to have Diaz back in the UFC if only Diaz would “play the game.”
Diaz wasn’t playing a game when he took Penn apart Saturday and he didn’t play the game that White wanted when he dominated the news conference to an even greater degree than he did his fight.
“I’ve never backed out of a fight in my life,” Diaz said angrily. “You show me someone else who hasn’t done that, pulled some [expletive] about an injury. I’ve been injured all these last fights, even this one. I didn’t pull out, you know? I had no reason to fight. I’m depressed about this whole not fighting [St. Pierre], not getting paid what I wanted to get paid. I could have pulled out with any of these injuries. My knee hurts. Oh, my hamstring. My hamstring … I’ve got the same issues, man. I go running all the time out of my neighborhood, out of the bad neighborhood into the good neighborhood where I like to run. I run by hundreds of these nice huge houses with these big yards, and fountains everywhere. They have their picnic-patio little side yards with a pool. All this stuff, right?
“Then I take a little circle around and go back into my neighborhood, where my car gets robbed, there’s a dude out in front of my house looking for cigarette butts, hoping some friend might have left some. It’s ridiculous.”
White tried to create some levity when he interrupted Diaz.
“Let me tell you,” White said from the podium to Diaz, “I don’t know how much houses cost up there in Stockton, but bro, let me tell you, you got enough money to move. I guarantee you that.”
Everyone in the room laughed except Diaz. He bit his lip and looked down.
He said he can’t do the things he wants to do because his training schedule is so intense. He wasn’t going to back down, and he spoke back to White.
“Not when I’m fighting every two months, every three months,” Diaz said. “I’m going to take a few fights off. My brother moved and you know, it’s like, phew. It’s a long story, man. You laugh, but I don’t know how to go buy a house in the middle of all this training. I didn’t go to school for that.”
Diaz may not express his emotions too well, but he is a star and he’s only going to get bigger.
The fight against St. Pierre, one of the biggest draws in the UFC, should be off the charts.
“He blew up out of nowhere,” White said. “People love real fighters and this kid is a real fighter.”
He’s also a real character. He was originally scheduled to fight St. Pierre for the belt Saturday, but when he missed press conferences in September in Toronto and Las Vegas, White first yanked him off the card entirely and replaced him in the main event with Carlos Condit. Then, a few days later, White paired Diaz against Penn in the co-main event after giving Diaz a big pay cut.
[ Yahoo! Sports Radio: St. Pierre on injury, Diaz]
Diaz wasn’t happy about fighting Penn, whom he considered a friend, and was exceptionally angry at St. Pierre. When St. Pierre was injured in training, the fight with Condit fell off the card and White moved Penn-Diaz to the main.
Diaz, though, was angry he was meeting Penn and not St. Pierre. He shouted to St. Pierre from the cage after the bout ended.
“I don’t think Georges was hurt,” Diaz said. “I think he was scared.”
St. Pierre approached White moments after the fight. The UFC’s ultimate good guy was angry that Diaz continually disrespected him and questioned his injury.
The champion requested that White make the fight with Diaz. White said Condit was gracious and agreed to step aside.
“This is what I wanted since the beginning,” St. Pierre said. “Let’s do what was supposed to be done originally. I’ve always wanted this fight. Now, I want it even more. I can’t wait for Super Bowl weekend.”
Diaz rattled on for nearly a half hour. At one point, he noted that boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. makes $25 million a fight and said, “He can’t stop the double leg.”
He was angry that he felt White would make him fight his friends and he complained about that.
He had the audience in the palm of his hand. Everyone, including White, was riveted by his every word.
No one knows what his long-term future holds.
At the moment, though, there’s no question what he is:
He’s the hottest fighter in MMA. With the tickets, pay-per-views and merchandise he’s going to sell for the St. Pierre fight, he’s not just going to be able to afford to buy a house in Stockton. The guy is going to be able to buy the entire neighborhood.

ufc 137 Diaz impressive win over BJ Penn retires ?
the word on the street is after Diaz impressive win over BJ Penn, and the comments of Nick "i am a poor ambassador of the sport of MMA in every way" Diaz toward GSP and him being afraid and not injured, GSP requested that Condit step aside so that HE could show Diaz he is not afraid and let h...im fight Diaz next and Condit agreed. so with that said, WAR GSP!!! beat some respect into that little punk! No disrespect to Hioki, he fought his fight and much love to him for that, but in no way shape or form did George Roop lose that fight, at all! 2 out of 3 rounds to Roop, solid! something has to be done about the judging in MMA, the community off MMA and its fans should be outraged. Tucson native George Roop just dismantled, dominated a top 5 fighter and lost, this is unexcitable. The UFC will not cut Roop for this and he will be given another shot to redeem himself im sure, but he shouldn't have to...Roop, your home town and fans are proud of you. WAR ROOP!

Nick Diaz will do boxing ?
This latest gem doesn't sound like Nick Diaz is "playing the game." as Dana White requested last year.
Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructional 11 Volumes on 3 DVD's
Outside the cage, that means the Strikeforce welterweight champ, has to show up for drug tests and fulfill some of his media responsibilities. Do that and there could be huge paydays awaiting him in the UFC. Oh, and one more thing ... don't sign boxing contracts.
The constantly displeased Diaz told HDNet there's no one for him to fight in Strikeforce and his life is a living hell. His trainer Cesar Gracie says the MMA star has signed a deal to fight former world champion boxer Fernando Vargas in September. Gracie says the Diaz camp is just waiting for Vargas, 33, to sign the contract.
Update - Camp Diaz says the Vargas fight is off:
"We were talking about Vargas, but the thing is, I just came under some information that Vargas apparently has some kind of medical issue where he's not able to pass the test any more, and he could be retiring," Gracie said. "Vargas was very interested, but unfortunately, if he can't pass the test, he can't pass the test."
Gracie says now Diaz wants to fight Jeff Lacy.
This is all an interesting development since Scott Coker has basically indicated Diaz can't box while under contract with Strikeforce.
Gracie Jiu Jitsu Art Dark T-Shirt by CafePress
Vargas claims he's making a comeback and told ESPN.com's Brett Okamoto in January that he had his weight down to 187 pounds. If his goal is to make a run at a world title again, why would Vargas risk his reputation by fighting someone from the MMA world? Who wants to bet this "dream" fight never comes off?

Top Strikeforce fighters join UFC ?
This afternoon, Dana White announced that Zuffa bought its top competitor in the U.S. He made a point of saying, with fighters contracts and a Showtime television deal in place, Strikeforce will operate under a "business as usual" header for the time being. How long that lasts is anyone's guess. UFC is planning on revealing more details to the media during a Monday teleconference.Form Athletics White Jon ''Bones'' Jones Fight Premuim T-shirt (X-Large)
The purchase should certainly excite fight fans. A deeper overall roster should eliminate the possibility of the best in the world being kept out of the same cage because of promotional issues.
Who are you most excited to see in the UFC? Here's a list of the top 15 fighters based on ability, mixed with the existing hurdles that could prevent them for stepping into the Octagon.
1. Nick Diaz, Welterweight (23-7, 5-0 Strikeforce, 6-4 UFC)
Outside the cage, the former UFC fighter is a wild man, but White is the first to admit he's a talented kid. The current Strikeforce welterweight champion hasn't lost since 2007. He's also one of the only welterweights outside of the UFC that fans would love to see take on Georges St. Pierre. In less than a month at Strikeforce's next scheduled event in San Diego on Apr. 9, he defends his title against Paul Daley. His brother Nate is currently fighting at 170 pounds in the UFC.
2. Gilbert Melendez, Lightweight (18-2, 8-1 Strikeforce)
He wasn't the first name on the lips of many MMA fans, but he probably should be. He's the most legitimate threat to any of the UFC title holders. Melendez's mix of wrestling, striking, strategy and stamina puts him immediately in the mix with Gray Maynard and Anthony Pettis to challenge for Frank Edgar's title. Just as important, he wants to fight the best and is an easy guy to manage.
3. Dan Henderson. Light heavyweight (27-8, Strikeforce 2-1, UFC 5-2)
With just one fight left on his deal, Henderson could be the first Strikeforce star to crossover. His 2009 exit from the UFC was more about ancillary concerns than his performance in the cage.
With his win last weekend over Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Rafael Cavalcante, the 40-year-old proved again that he's a top 10 fighter at light heavyweight. He could also go back down to middleweight if he wants to and the UFC thought that was the best spot.
Henderson told MMAWeekly it's a shocking move, but he's open to fighting for anyone.
"I don't know what to feel about it, I don't necessarily think, it might not be the best thing for the sport. But then again you're going to start being able to see all these match-ups that everyone wants to see. Who knows," Henderson said. "I had no plans of leaving, but I don't know what this is going to do those plans, but I have one fight left on my deal and we'll see what happens,"
Henderson is cool with White.
"I've never said anything bad about them. I always appreciated everything they've done for me and for the sport. It's just I was paid more money to go elsewhere, and that's what I did. Dana's the type that needs to talk a little smack if he doesn't get his way, but I've got no hard feelings about anything."
Strikeforce paid Hendo a healthy salary and allowed him to promote his clothing line, Clinch Gear. Hopefully, this time around the Clinch Gear issue can be resolved so we can see Henderson face the likes of Mauricio Rua, Rashad Evans, Quinton Jackson, Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida.
4. Alistair Overeem, Heavyweight (34-11, 3-0 Strikeforce)
If everything is cool on the pre-fight drug testing front, Overeem would be an awesome addition to the UFC heavyweight division. His pure power, look and striking is very promotable. An Overeem fight against Cain Velasquez, Brock Lesnar, Junior dos Santos, Frank Mir or Shane Carwin would be a seat-filler. That said, he'll have to drop the desire to compete in K-1 competitions.
5. Antonio Silva, Heavyweight (16-2, 3-1 Strikeforce)
This seems high, right? That's how good Silva is now and can be down the road. "Big Foot" is one of the biggest heavyweights in the world and is quickly developing one of the more well-rounded games in the division. His size overwhelmed Fedor Emelianenko and now that he's better managing the weight cut, he's got his stamina up to snuff.
6. Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal, Light heavyweight (7-1, 2-1 Strikeforce)
From a selling standpoint, King Mo has as much potential as anyone on the Strikeforce roster. His amateur wrestling background makes him competitive with any 205-pounder in the world. Once he cleans up his striking and learns how to manage his gas tank, sky's the limit. His personality and willingness to bond with the fans and haters alike, makes him a promotional dream.
7. Tim Kennedy, Middleweight (13-3, 4-1 Strikeforce)
Strikeforce is onto something here with Kennedy. Think Brian Stann, but a lot better in most facets of the game. The Army Special Forces veteran wants to fight all the time and he's a great role model to push to casual and non-MMA fans. More than any other division, the UFC's middleweight class is in need a new blood. Kennedy is a great pickup.
8. Fedor Emelianenko, Heavyweight (31-3, Strikeforce 1-2)
I'd love to have Fedor on top of this list, but the relationship is so frayed between M-1, his management team and White, it's difficult to imagine seeing him the Octagon anytime soon. He also needs to win some fights to rebuild his brand and reputation.
In his first comments about Fedor, White didn't seem optomistic:
"I don't see any irony in that," White told Yahoo!'s Kevin Iole, chuckling. "Even though Fedor is now under contract with Zuffa, I still have a hard time imagining he'll ever fight in the UFC. We'll see, but that's my bet right now."
"You know me," White said. "I'm as big a fan of this as anybody and I love making the fights that everyone wants to see. At the end of the day, it's all about making great fights and the fights the people want to see. That's what we're doing."
9. Jason Miller, Middleweight (24-7, 1-1 Strikeforce, 0-1 UFC)
Miller is far from the best fighter on this list, but he's the most media savvy. His MTV show "Bully Beatdown" and appearances all over satellite radio give him exposure more MMA fighters can't even sniff. He fought for the UFC back in 2005 against GSP, but simply wasn't ready for that level and was draining himself way down at 170 pounds.
10. Gegard Mousasi, Light heavyweight (30-3, 2-1 Strikeforce)
I'm still a backer of Mousasi. His calculated style and killer instinct makes him an attractive addition. He just needs to strategize a little more against top level fighters and must shore up his takedown defense. Don't sleep on the Armenian's future. UFC may talk to him about going back down to middleweight. An Anderson Silva-Mousasi fight would be dynamite.
11. Fabricio Werdum, Heavyweight (14-4, 3-0 Strikeforce)
We're still not sure what went down when Werdum was sent packing by the UFC back in 2009. His talent is undeniable. Werdum is a huge dude at 6-5, 245 and his jiu-jitsu is some of the best in the world for the weight class. The win over Fedor was no fluke and don't forget he avoided dangerous situations in getting the win over Antonio Silva too. Grappling matchups against Lesnar, Mir, Carwin and even Roy Nelson would be awesome.
12. Paul Daley, Welterweight (27-9, 1-0 Strikeforce, 2-1 UFC)
The villain of all villians. Whether Daley should've been cut from the UFC is still debatable. His questionable attitude is not. We all have bosses and sometimes have to swallow our pride to co-exist. Daley was supposedly posting today on the Underground Forum today that he needs to "think" about fighting for the UFC and making money for White. Frankly, it's not his decision. It's also pretty stupid to push for your options to only include Japan's DREAM, BAMMA, Shark Fights, Titan Fighting, Bellator and MFC.
13. Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, Middleweight (14-2, 4-0 Strikeforce)
Jacare is very intriguing. His submission game is off the charts and would be a great anti-dote against the UFC's wrestlers/grapplers like Chael Sonnen and Yushin Okami. As the Strikeforce middleweight champ, he controls his own destiny. If he keeps winning under the "business as usual" operation, he'll force the hand of the UFC to put him in the mix with the big company.
14. Rafael Cavalcante, Light heavyweight (10-3, 3-2 Strikeforce)
"Feijao" lost to Henderson, but it's just one fight. The guy comes to bang and has an excellent ground game. The UFC could certainly find a home for another huge, well-rounded light heavyweight.
15. Robbie Lawler, Middleweight (18-7, 2-3 Strikeforce, 4-3 UFC)
It would be shocking to see Lawler on the outside looking in. He's a favorite of White's. His style is exactly what fans and the promotion latch onto. Lawler's one-punch knockout power makes him a more talented version of Chris Lytle and we know he's got a job for life with the promotion as long as he remains around .500.
Others possibly in the mix: Josh Thomson, *Shinya Aoki, *Tatsuya Kawajiri, Shane del Rosario, Daniel Cormier.
*Not under contract with Strikeforce. Co-promotional deals with DREAM.

Mayhem Miller fight with Nick Diaz will or will not happen ?
Mayhem Miller miffed at being passed over for fight with Nick Diaz
Superfit: Royce Gracie's Ultimate Martial Arts Fitness and Nutrition Guide (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu series)
"I figured that maybe if I made enough noise about it, it would come to fruition. I knew that one of two things was going to happen. Either I was going to get the fight with Diaz and expose him, show that he's not some damn unstoppable, pitter-pat punching tank, but just some dude who can get beat up. Or, the other option, I was going to expose him for what he is, which is a guy who picks favorable fights constantly... You jumped me on TV. It's a damn storyline that's real. This isn't manufactured drama. This isn't The Ultimate Fighter TV show. It's real. I'm disappointed the fight didn't happen, but whatever." - Jason "Mayhem" Miller
Jason "Mayhem" Miller expresses his disappointment at being passed over for a fight against heated rival Nick Diaz in favor of Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos.
Diaz and Santos will square off for Diaz's welterweight title at Strikeforces upcoming event on Jan. 29.
Miller and Diaz have been embroiled in a war-of-words stemming from a confrontation which occurred last April following a win by Diaz's teammate Jake Shields. Miller, who had lost previously to Shields, forcefully confronted him about a rematch following his fantastic win over MMA superstar Dan Henderson. Shields' camp took it as a sign of disrespect and Diaz ended up throwing a punch at Miller inciting a now infamous melee.
Both fighters insist that the other is ducking the fight for various reasons, but it appears clear, at least for now, that the two won't be settling their differences inside the cage.
