Cage Fury Fighting Championships brings top shelf MMA back to the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey on February 8 with "CFFC 31: Heckman VS Lentz". Pro MMA fighters from around the East Coast will compete on this stacked 12-bout card featuring 2 title fights. CFFC has expanded their stranglehold on Northeast MMA as they continue to pump out one blockbuster show after another.

In the main event, for the vacant CFFC Featherweight Title, Scott Heckman (16-4) takes on Jeff Lentz (9-3-1). Heckman has held a title for another regional organization in the past and looks to add to his collection. Heckman is an expert grappler with a strong wrestling base, but also likes to throw hands and is dangerous from anywhere in the cage. He is one of the top 145 lb fighters in the world and will continue to come forward no matter what. Heckman is as exciting as they come, and that is why he continues to be a fan favorite wherever he fights. Lentz is a TUF and Bellator vet and is riding a 2-fight winning streak. Lentz also holds a title from another top regional promotion and a win over Heckman would leave no doubt in anyone's mind who the #1 featherweight on the East Coast is. Lentz has finished 6 of his fights via stoppage (5 by KO) so don't blink when the cage door shuts and these two highly touted 145 lb fighters throw down.

In the co-main event, CFFC Welterweight Champion George Sullivan (14-3) will defend his title against Chris Curtis (8-3). Sullivan has been one of the most consistent champions in any division in any promotion for years. This will be Sullivan's fifth straight defense of a belt he won back in April 2012. Sullivan has reeled off six straight wins with four ending in brutal KO fashion. Every fight Sullivan looks better than he did in his last which is a daunting reality for anyone he steps into the cage with. Curtis will look to change his fortunes as he steps up to the challenge of solving Sullivan next. Curtis comes from Ohio and has soundly defeated many of the top stars in the Midwest. Curtis has won a title earlier in his career and has shown the ability to go five hard rounds if need be. Curtis will have to rely on his granite chin and powder keg hands if he is going to take the title from Sullivan. This fight could just as easily be fought in a phone booth as neither of these men will back down.

In other action, Joey "Boom Boom" Rivera (5-1) battles Christian Leonard (5-4) in a welterweight scrap. Rivera hails from Arizona but has fought all across the country because of his exciting style and championship caliber skills. This will be Rivera's third fight for CFFC and a win here would likely put him in title contention to face the winner of Sullivan and Curtis. Rivera is an expert grappler and 4 of his wins have come via submission. Rivera has never went to a decision and he brings a furious pace to each and every fight. Leonard hails from Virginia and has won 4 of his last 5 fights. This will be Leonard's sixth foray into CFFC and he will look to continue his upward trend in the sport by trying to notch a win against his toughest opponent to date. Leonard possesses a nice striking base mixed with strong grappling. This fight could go into the later rounds where the winner will likely be decided by who has the biggest heart.
